Intro:

Because I want you to prosper; so does God (3 John 1:2) we are going to be learning over the next 8 weeks about keys to open doors that are very closed. We have been given the keys of the Kingdom.

  • Keys of the Kingdom are Kingdom keys to unlock doors that the God's Kingdom needs open. (Matthew 16:19)
  • Today's key is the key of Visualization. La visualizacion.

Joshua 6:1-2

•1.       The Promise:

•a.       God had promised them a land that flowed with Milk and Honey.

                                                 i.      Exodus 13:5 = Bring you into this land that flows with milk & honey.

ii.      Galatians 3:29 = we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. That means God has given us this spiritual promise too.

iii.      A land with milk and honey. Milk=what we need; honey=our desires (what we want)

•b.       To meet all your needs is God's will:

                                                              i.      All your needs: Eph. 4:19

ii.      All your desires: Ps. 37:4

•2.       The Problem:

a.       There was an obstacle between the blessing and where they were. There always is! The enemy doesn't want you to enter in to God's blessings for your life.

b.      The obstacle is there because the enemy is afraid. Joshua 6:1 says, "Because of the children of Israel" The Israelites had a promise!

                                                              i.      God's promises are greater than all the obstacles of the enemy

ii.      The enemy is afraid you'll understand all that God has and knock down obstacles and claim what God has for you.

c.       It was very closed.  Is there stuff like that in your life? Very closed; it seems impossible?

•3.       Visualize it:

a.       God told Joshua in verse 2: "See, I have given you the city"

b.      What you see and how you see it determines what you believe about your situation.

c.       God is focusing Joshua's attention on the city.

                                                              i.      The city is the promise, the blessing, the answer

ii.      He didn't even refer to the wall. That's what the enemy wants you to see. The wall, the impossibility.

iii.      Not what the Dr. or x-rays say; not what the bank or the judge says. Look at God's promise about your situation.

d.      See it as already done: God did not say, "I'm going to give you the city." He said, "I have given it to you."

                                                              i.      Past tense. God has already given you the victory. Even before you fight. Matt. 6:8 = "... he knows what you need before you ask.

ii.      Hope sees the blessing or miracle in the future. Faith sees it as already done (in the past)

e.      Everything we need is already provided for in Christ. The cross was a complete sacrifice. In payment for all of our needs and wants

f.        Something provided for must only need to be claimed. The first part of our claiming is our visualization of it.

g.       See it as already given, and already yours.

4.       Come see it at the altar and receive it by faith.
